I didn’t get much extra traffic from them yesterday. However, it coincided with a ten-fold increase in Adsense revenue. I think it also supports an SEO theory I was having before I went to bed last night. Rate My Dance Moves has a far better clickthru rate than any of my other sites. It’s also the only site where I’m running ads in the space where you would normally find a left navigation bar. So last night I wondered if a large number of users were clicking on the ads simply because they are trained to look for links in the left sidebar. Today I have hard numbers.

One in six German speakers can’t tell the difference between a left navigation bar and an adblock. Has anyone heard of a better adsense strategy? You can be sure I’ll be submitting to the German version of Digg, it’s YiGG.de.
